"Village Drill" project : international engineers bring water in 23 countries

Hello ! This week, I just wanted to share an illustrative video of a project I saw the other day.
It's a project of a few engineers from Brigham Young University (Utah, USA), and it aims to use human power to drill water from the ground. I think this project is a great thing as it doesn't need tubes and looks easy to build, it also seems easy to use since children and women use it in the video. But moreover, it solves problems that other water supplies face : it doesn't expose the water to animal or human activities and waste, and as the team behind the project claims it can be implemented everywhere, that means it can really reduce the journey to fetch water, which is good news for children's education and women employment.
I hope this project is going to develop itself in many villages, so these regions can develop economically and socially.
